| The Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention
Center stands in Lima’s Town Square and is the hub of
the community’s cultural life. It is the primary public
assembly facility in West Central Ohio. Since our opening in
1984, more than 3 million people have attended over 10,000 events
held here.
CROUSE PERFORMANCE HALL
Performing arts promoters and presenters are
pleased with the Crouse Performance Hall because of our reasonable
rates, fully computerized box office services and excellent house
management. Audiences enjoy comfortable seating in a climate-controlled
environment unmatched in our market area.
The 1,767-seat proscenium theatre offers performers a wide stage
area for the most elaborate set designs to the simplest stage
set-ups. The loading doors are conveniently located just left
of the stage for easy set up and tear down of sets. Crouse Performance
Hall also offers multiple dressing rooms equipped with mirrors,
wardrobe racks, rest rooms and showers. All these help to provide
visiting performers comfort and convenience to put on a great
show!
CONVENTION CENTER
The centerpiece of our Convention Center is the 14,500 square
foot Exhibit Hall, which can be partitioned into three sections.
The Hall is the site of conferences, conventions, trade and product
sales shows and a myriad of private events such as wedding receptions,
class reunions, banquets and others. Adjacent to the Exhibit
Hall are ten Meeting Rooms on two levels that are perfect for
breakout space and smaller meetings.
The Convention Center is connected to the 100-room business-friendly
Wingate Inn that features three types of suites and excellent
rooms at very reasonable prices. The beautiful Downtown Skywalk
connects the Convention Center to the new City/County Downtown
Parking Garage. Entire events can be accomplished under roof,
if necessary, merging big city convenience and style with small
market affordability.
ALLEN COUNTY MEMORIAL HALL
One block south of the Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention
Center is our historic structure, Allen County Memorial Hall,
built in 1908 and now on the National register of Historic Places.
The Hall boasts a Beaux Arts grand lobby and beautiful horseshoe-shaped
auditorium that harken back to a more graceful age. Available
for events and meetings, public and private, Memorial Hall is
one of the architectural gems of Allen County. Current renovations
are returning Memorial Hall to its former glory. |
